All other faces melt away.

Your arms held me many times.

It was just that last time that I missed the most.

I almost forgot the escapade in the rain.

From S. Denver back to Caraway.

Everything changed after May 2011.

Spring 2012: We protested on campus.

I got a home in Colorado, and a summer job in SD.

It was a beautiful day

When I left Russellville behind...

But I keep coming back wanting to run cross-country.

And I keep missing your puzzle piece tattoo.

Have a beautiful life in the Big Apple.

Come home and see us sometime soon.

Hugs from the Sky to the Moon.

A Knight's Tale for Mrs. Knight's Advisory and RHS 2000-2003

Every time I hear Brother Andy's voice in my head,
I wonder if I blew it with someone from my past.
Was it you?
Did we have our chance before that last dance?
Senior Prom really started when Footloose came on.
Suddenly everyone was dancing, and I swear you were there!
I definitely remember playing on the inflatables
At After-Prom with you and Nate the Snake.

Now when I see your face it's older,
But you still melt my soul
And your smile makes me smile.
Every time I picture myself anywhere happy in
Russellville, you're there.

All I had to do was go looking for Green Peace.
He blows thru town every 3 years or so...
Yet you are still there.
I need help finding Boo-boo/Yogi Bear too.

When I first fell for your looks,
I wrote a poem about your hair.
I was the wind and you were the water.
You still want to go to the ocean.
I've been to the place you want to move to!
It's amazing there.

I fell for your looks,
But it's your hugs
And your voice that keep me coming back.
You're the real life hero that never takes credit for anything.
We saved as many of our friends as we could.

You were always in my dreams.
I think it was you that always got me out of my nightmares,
When all other dream warriors were spent.
It's good to have you back in my life again.
You make all the songs sound beautiful
And every day looks gorgeous,
Even when the skies are gray.

Silver and Gold and Green and White.
Red and Black and Blue by night.

For life.

Autumn in Arkansas Again

Back to my old stomping grounds.
Funny how I went so far away so many times to find myself,
But whenever I am here, I feel at ease.
There's a cool wind in the trees.
Many of my friends and most of my family is here.
I'm not going to linger forever,
but when his face is just across the counter,
When his arms hug me close,
I know why I keep coming back.
I want to walk and run next to his track.

We went hiking at the Dam park on Tuesday.

Now what? We will see. :-)

Awesome to the power of 10!

10 days. In 10 days this job will already be over, and I will be on my way home. With so much work left on our current show, I can barely grasp this concept. I can hardly wait to get home, see my family & pets, and pay a visit to at least one dear friend, and hopefully many others.

10 days. In just under 10 days, I will be unemployed. I don't have a another job lined up yet. I don't know where I will be working next. Hopefully, I can get by living at home for a while until my next job comes along. I would like to get my own place, or share an apt./house with friends, but that would require finding a semi-permanent or permanent job and a place to live.

10 days. A lot is going to happen in the next 10 days. I may not get to write on here again until after I get back home. I am looking forward to having some time off. I just hope I can get another good job in the not-too-distant future. For now, enjoy your summer, and this video. :-D

What a cool dog! :-)

Unpainted Lines? Not for Long!

This summer job is flying by! I thought 2 months would be a long time to be away from home, but now that I will be home in about 3 weeks (:-D!) it seems much shorter. I'm still having a great time up here, and I know I will miss it when it's over. I just hope I can find a full-time/year-round job to start this fall. If not, maybe I can find something related to theatre or the arts in AR.

Since I work so much, I haven't been writing a lot. I did write a short poem a few days ago. Thought I would share it here. Enjoy! Comments/critiques welcome, even if you have to send them to me via facebook! :-D

6-27-11

I found a tangled web of unpainted lines
And painted them all in spite of
The pain in my arms and back.
My hand could barely grasp the brush.
Still, it can barely grasp this pen.
But I painted them all,
As I will write all of these words.
And I will do it all again,
For there is no stopping now that I'm going.
Now that I'm knowing all the things that I know.
The ladders I've climbed,
The words that I've rhymed.
All etched on a sacred scroll.
Now the bells begin to toll
As the clock strikes ten.
Time for a not-so-long drive home.
Tomorrow, we'll do this all again.

Also wrote this quote (same day) "For in the dark there are flashes of brilliance, moments of true understanding, and revelations which can change the way we see the world. Open your eyes and mind so that you may catch them." --SilveRSt*R

Oh, and here's a video to make you smile ;-)
