10 days. In 10 days this job will already be over, and I will be on my way home. With so much work left on our current show, I can barely grasp this concept. I can hardly wait to get home, see my family & pets, and pay a visit to at least one dear friend, and hopefully many others.
10 days. In just under 10 days, I will be unemployed. I don't have a another job lined up yet. I don't know where I will be working next. Hopefully, I can get by living at home for a while until my next job comes along. I would like to get my own place, or share an apt./house with friends, but that would require finding a semi-permanent or permanent job and a place to live.
10 days. A lot is going to happen in the next 10 days. I may not get to write on here again until after I get back home. I am looking forward to having some time off. I just hope I can get another good job in the not-too-distant future. For now, enjoy your summer, and this video. :-D
What a cool dog! :-)

Unpainted Lines? Not for Long!
This summer job is flying by! I thought 2 months would be a long time to be away from home, but now that I will be home in about 3 weeks (:-D!) it seems much shorter. I'm still having a great time up here, and I know I will miss it when it's over. I just hope I can find a full-time/year-round job to start this fall. If not, maybe I can find something related to theatre or the arts in AR.
Since I work so much, I haven't been writing a lot. I did write a short poem a few days ago. Thought I would share it here. Enjoy! Comments/critiques welcome, even if you have to send them to me via facebook! :-D
6-27-11
I found a tangled web of unpainted lines
And painted them all in spite of
The pain in my arms and back.
My hand could barely grasp the brush.
Still, it can barely grasp this pen.
But I painted them all,
As I will write all of these words.
And I will do it all again,
For there is no stopping now that I'm going.
Now that I'm knowing all the things that I know.
The ladders I've climbed,
The words that I've rhymed.
All etched on a sacred scroll.
Now the bells begin to toll
As the clock strikes ten.
Time for a not-so-long drive home.
Tomorrow, we'll do this all again.
Also wrote this quote (same day) "For in the dark there are flashes of brilliance, moments of true understanding, and revelations which can change the way we see the world. Open your eyes and mind so that you may catch them." --SilveRSt*R
Oh, and here's a video to make you smile ;-)

Never-Ending Math Equation
So I know this might sound a bit like that song from the movie Accepted, and I really like that song, but I wasn't trying to rip it off or anything. I was just doing a free-write, and this is what came out.
June 7, 2011
Intervention. Animation.
Full creation and probation.
All wrapped up in a
Pre-packaged, processed nation.
Termination. Elimination.
Free to speak your mind equation.
Add it up, it's all in your imagination.
So deliberate the facts
And process the cheese.
No one gets out of here alive
Or free from disease.
Shut the door.
Dim the lights.
We all share some sleepless nights.
Give in to the constant
Barrage of information.
It's all part of a
Never-ending math equation.
And yes, I deliberately quoted Modest Mouse in the last line. :-)
So here's the song. Enjoy!

Letters From a Distant Land
I am spending the first half of my summer in Indiana, working for the New Harmony Theatre. I'm the Scenic Charge which means I paint the set (with the help of the one painter, Kendra, and occasionally our Scenic Designer, Ron). Currently we are working late nights painting the set out at New Harmony, which is about 40 mins from my apt in Evansville. I don't like driving at night, but it's usually ok. Tonight it was very windy with a storm approaching, but still, I made it home safe, and I even beat the storm home. Now I am watching the wind blow the trees around outside our living room window while Vh1's Top 20 Video Countdown gets the remainder of my attention. I'm the only one awake here. My roommates work different hours than me.
I can't help but feel incredibly happy and insanely lucky to be here. I love my job. Even though it's hard work, I enjoy it. I miss my friends and family, but I want them all to know that it's all worth it, and I will be home to visit when this job ends (end of July).
So now it's time to share a video. :-D Enjoy!
This is a great song, and it reminds me of the last ATU Theatre Banquet because Dallas was singing it. :-D

French Grapefruits
Nothing to write today, except a paper, which I won't post on here, lol. So I have a video to share. I absolutely love this group. Their name, although it's misspelled, means grapefruit in French. It's one of my favorite French words to say. :-D So check out this song, and check out some of their other songs. They are adorable! Have a great day!!!

One More Minute With You
I have another minute.
What should I say?
So many words, too little time.
I met you in a dream,
Now you’re here in my life.
I can’t wait until I am
In your arms again.
You make me laugh,
You make me smile.
You fill my heart and soul
With love and joy.
I cry at the thought of leaving you
Or losing you at all.
I know we will always be friends,
But I don’t want to put this car in reverse.
I want to keep driving
With you by my side.
I want to see where this road takes us.
I don’t want to look back.
Neither of us knows what the future holds,
But I know I want to face it with you.
I found you in a dream.
Now that I have you in my life,
I can’t imagine living without you.
So please say that you’ll stay
And see how this story ends.
It’s just beginning,
Don’t put the book down yet.
Comments are welcome on all my posts, but I especially like to get them on my poems and other writings. Please let me know if you like it, any suggestions for improvement, etc. Thanks!

Confession Time
So it's been over a year since I posted on here. So what? The reason is this: I actually made up this blog because it was an assignment for a class I took 3 semesters ago. I am not suicidal or depressed, for that matter. I do have bi-polar disorder, which I take medication for. So my mood swings are pretty much under control. Writing, reading, art, all my other hobbies, and most of all my friends and family have helped me recover from the bad times I went through over 3 years ago. That's right, it's been over 3 years since I had any bad episodes. I have been down at times, even depressed, but I haven't lost touch with reality like I did back then.
I want to start blogging again because I need a place to post my poems that's not facebook. I also just want to have a blog again. It gives me something to do. Being a senior with one class gives me way too much free time.
More Disclaimers: I am not emo. I am usually very upbeat and positive. I am a "people person". I love my family. I love spending time at home. I am very blessed to have tons of friends. I am my own person and I like whatever I want. I am very stubborn, so once I get hooked on something, no one can change my mind about it. Oh, and I do not like the Twilight movie series. I haven't read the books, but from what I saw on screen, I don't care to. So basically, a lot of stuff you read about me in this blog, before this post, is not true. I made up "Emo Elmo" like I said.
From now on, this will be an honest blog about me, my writing, and my interests. I guess I should change the name. I do love Sesame Street and the Muppets. I also like Star Trek, lame jokes, NPH, etc. So expect to see related video clips from time to time.
If you're still reading this, welcome to my new blog. :-D
