One More Minute With You

I have another minute.
What should I say?
So many words, too little time.
I met you in a dream,
Now you’re here in my life.
I can’t wait until I am
In your arms again.
You make me laugh,
You make me smile.
You fill my heart and soul
With love and joy.
I cry at the thought of leaving you
Or losing you at all.
I know we will always be friends,
But I don’t want to put this car in reverse.
I want to keep driving
With you by my side.
I want to see where this road takes us.
I don’t want to look back.
Neither of us knows what the future holds,
But I know I want to face it with you.
I found you in a dream.
Now that I have you in my life,
I can’t imagine living without you.
So please say that you’ll stay
And see how this story ends.
It’s just beginning,
Don’t put the book down yet.
