So yeah, obviously I'm back from Thanksgiving. The family was tolerable, but I don't know if it was really a good experience for me. The turkey sure was good though.
I am trying to include as many sesame street characters as I can in this blog. The character for today is Grover. I'd sort of forgotten about Super Grover, so it was cool to find some clips of him. Enjoy this one!

The Cookie Monster: Innocent Furry Creature Who Loves Sweets or Evil Monster?
I received a link from an undisclosed source. Please click on it before you watch the video below. You may never look at the Cookie Monster the same way again.

Here's the video:
Personally, I think the Cookie Monster is a bit of a con-artist and a moocher. I don't really think he's evil.

Sesame Street Celebrates 40 Years!
Well, Turkey Day is almost here and my therapist has suggested that I go visit my family for a few days. He thinks it will be good for me. I just hope they don't badger me with too many questions. Anyways, I won't have internet while I'm there, so this will be my last post until this coming Sunday. Happy Turkey Day readers!
In honor of Sesame Street's 40th anniversary, I made this little postcard-like thingy on paint. I wish I had photoshop on my laptop. Maybe I can ask for that for Christmas.

Aliens!
So I started out the day very upset because a fellow blogger wants me to jump off a cliff. But it's ok now. I talked to my therapist about it, and he assured me that jumping off a cliff is not cool, unless there is water below you, and even then it's very dangerous and not cool. I'm not sure I believe him; New Moon made it look so cool... But I digress.
Today's Sesame Street video is one I remember seeing as a kid. I found it by chance, and as soon as the spaceship started coming down, I knew I'd seen it before. I love the yip-yips (or whatever they are called)! I hope you all enjoy this video as much as I do!

Not Intended for Children (or my therapist)
In my search for nostalgic clips from Sesame Street, I found some funny videos and songs parodying the show. This song and video is not really child friendly, so parents be warned. Also, I'm not sure that my therapist would approve, so if he reads this and watches the clip, it's not serious. I just thought it was kind of funny in a dark way.
Although Weird Al is in the slide show, I don't think the song is by him. I wish I could have found an actual video to go with the song. Let me know what you think.

Reflections
When I think about Sesame Street, I think about the things I remember seeing on it when I was a kid. Sometimes I wish I could go back and re-watch some of those episodes, because I can't remember them all. I do remember that I liked a lot of the songs on Sesame Street. One of my favorite songs from the show was the one that Ernie sings about the moon. Luckily, I found a clip of it on youtube. Here it is.
I hope this brings back happy memories for you like it does for me. Now I need to go listen to something really emo before I get too happy.

Pinball Mania
So I was watching Family Guy the other night, because I heard it was a cool show, and they had this reference to a pinball machine. I knew it looked familiar, and after doing some research, sure enough, it was a reference to Sesame Street. Here is the clip from Family Guy.
Here is an original pinball clip from Sesame Street.
Notice how the only difference is that Stewie is in the ball? Yeah, Family Guy is soooo cool. (Sesame Street is better :P)

Elmo meets the Goo Goo Dolls
A few years ago, I was at home, flipping through the few channels we had, when I saw the Goo Goo Dolls on PBS. Being a fan, I stopped and realized they were on Sesame Street. I remember thinking that it was kind of weird, but looking back on it, it was pretty awesome. Now the kids of today, or a few years ago, will get exposure to a great band too! Here is a clip from that episode.

How to get to Sesame Street
So this is my first post, obviously. I am new to this blogging concept. I am usually very depressed, and I don't have the capability to choose my own interests. In other words, I like whatever is popular, and I hate myself for it. My therapist says I need to find some happiness before I kill myself. He said I should get in touch with my inner child, not try to strangle it.
In an effort to do that, I am creating this blog about Sesame Street. I will post video clips from the show, and write comments on them. I welcome any feedback, but please don't be mean. I'm trying to find good things in life.
